We had a fantastic trip to Alaska and British Columbia in August. God put on quite a show for us. When it was cloudy and raining the lighting was dramatic and when the sun shone you could see forever. The locals tell us Denali (Mt. McKinley) is visible less than 20% of the time, but we had a day without a cloud in the sky. Other highlights were Hubbard Glacier towering over our boat with all kinds of cracking, popping, groaning and calving going on. Hubbard is actually growing. The coastal towns all had their unique personalities and the inside passage offers amazing scenery. The highlight of British Columbia was a trip to Butchart Gardens.
